Seeing Clearly

Today's Daily Radio Bible reading: Job 3–4 and Acts 8–9.

"The greatest blindness is being absolutely certain you already see clearly."

Job's friends were certain they understood his suffering — and they were wrong. Saul was certain he was right — until the road to Damascus.

Lord, open my eyes to see clearly. Show me where my certainty is blinding me, and give me the humility to listen and the grace to follow where You lead. Amen.

Time with God

"After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray." — Matthew 14:23

After feeding the 5,000, Jesus dismissed the crowd and went up the mountain alone to pray.

Even Jesus needed time alone with the Father. Time with God is not a break from the work — it is what makes the work possible.
