Today is All Saints' Day.
Halloween — All Hallows' Eve — is the eve of this holy day: a day of remembrance for the saints who have gone before us, who now see the light of our Lord face to face.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." — Hebrews 12:1
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." — John 8:12
Don't put off following the Light. Our time here is short: "Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am." — Psalm 39:4
Follow Him while there is still time.
