Talking about building a small business (VIDEO)

Business IT Q&A

I am looking to start a conversation via video podcasts to connect my friends and business contacts. The podcast will initially be centered around answering IT questions in my wheelhouse.

Topic Ideas: personal branding, building a business online, how to sell things online, social media management, SEO (search engine optimization), websites, BI (business intelligence), AI (artificial intelligence), front-end development, UX (user experience) and machine learning. I’d like to introduce my friends who have small businesses, start the conversation rolling and see where this goes.

Thinking a video once a week (until I start podcasting and more by request) next one at 4PM on Friday. If you have questions, feedback, or topic ideas please leave me a comment!!!

REVIEW: THE FUTURE OF SCIENCE AND ROBOTS

I love watching how quickly science and robotics are advancing. Some things remind you of something out of an old Sci Fi movie, like CyberDyne maybe (insert tin hat joke or scary government conspiracy here_____)? For the most part though, I'm just excited to see where things are going. The following video shows robots that walk like dogs or maybe horses. Okay, technically some of the "robots" here are probably technically called RC objects or drones being driven by people, but still this stuff is all pretty cool.

Video + Business Review: Jacksons Coffee and Gelato Making Gelato and a quick tour

Jacksons Coffee and Gelato

I'm so sad to hear this place is closing. When I lived in Minnesota, it was my favorite place to hang out. Delicious coffee and gelato. It was extremely close to my house and the cutest little place. I could spend the whole day sitting there. At one point I even built them a website and had a friend do a photoshoot for them. The photos in this video are by Tae Kim. I'm sorry about the video quality. I made this video when I was still new to YouTube and not a Partner. So they limited my upload time and quality. It looked a lot better before and I do not think I have the original now to redo it.

Question: Do you own a tablet, if so what do you use it for?

Do you own a tablet or mobile device? What kind and what do you use it for?

I own an iPad 1, which I'm actually considering giving to my dad because I rarely use it. In fact, it's awkward to type on so I rarely use it unless I'm traveling. When I do use it, it's for reading ebooks, watching movies, or playing games. As a designer, I use tablets for testing applications and could use it for showing wireframes ect. I've previously used tablets for Aviation and could see many other freelance use cases. It's just bulky and hard to type on. I'd love to be able to use it at conferences for taking notes, but it's not a good replacement for a computer and a table or just a notebook.
