Etiquette and Espionage is a spin off of Gail Carriger's steam-punk world that started with, "The Parasol Protectorate." I loved the Parasol Protectorate and many of Gail's other books. The Parasol Protectorate includes: Prudence, Soulless, Heartless, Blameless, and Changeless. More on that series in another review.

A Big Thanks to Craig Halloran
This post is going to be short, but should entice you to stay tuned. Craig Halloran and I connected recently thanks to an introduction from Brian Rathbone.
Craig generously provided me with copies of his series, The Chronicles of Dragon. I've already finished the first book of seven (books 8-10 coming soon). I'm steadily on pace to finish the rest of the series in the next couple weeks, but I'm a little afraid the beautiful weather has been distracting me from writing. So, this is an advanced thank you to Craig and heads up to anyone who reads this blog: I will be reviewing all seven of Craig's books, doing a give away, and an author interview very soon.

About Book Review Rating and Awards
What are the Stars?
Books may be rated 1-5 stars. 1 star being the lowest possible rating and 5 stars being the highest. Books that have not been read do not have a rating.
Every book review may have an overall rating, a performance rating, and a story rating. The overall rating takes into account both the story and performance. The Performance rates the narrator, if the book was reviewed as an audible book. The story rating is for the book overall.
Books are not graded by spelling or grammatical errors, although poor performance or books that are hard to read may factor in layout. If something stands out, this will generally be mentioned in the review.
Products only have an overall score. Additional ratings may be added later for product and business reviews.

BOOK REVIEW: The Heroes of Olympus: The Demigod Diaries UNABRIDGED by Rick Riordan

"Unlike the rest of the series... Not the next book"
Would you try another book from Rick Riordan and/or the narrators?
Yes, absolutely just not one like this. This isn't like the normal 1st person book. It reads like a mixed diary on the ledge of being close to the other story. It's not as interesting, powerful or adventurous. It gives you insights to the characters though but the narrator jump isn't nearly as smooth. It's confusing and the book seems to jump around a lot.
Write the book as a follow up story or adventure the same way the other books are written. This one seems like a hodge podge throw together of scenes cut out from the other books.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It just doesn't have a familiar feel to the other books. I didn't enjoy it. It didn't grab me the same way the other two did.

Book Review: The Godling Chronicles by Brian D. Anderson
An Epic Adventure You Wont Want to Miss
I probably overuse the phrase, "I'm addicted to this book/series." This series is no exception. The Godling Chronicles
is a great read/listen. I found this series randomly as a recommendation on Audible based on other series that I've reviewed positively.One of the .5 mini books to this series was free. I started that book and quickly bought the rest of the series. I can barely sleep at night wanting to know what happens next. Right now I'm on Chapter 24 of book 6. The Godling Chronicles has everything an epic fantasy novel or series needs: drama, love, hype, suspense, good verse evil, princes, knights, Gods, demi-Gods, Elves, random never-before-seen creatures, and a battle that will change the world.

The story was semi-interesting. I'm going to return this book to use my credit on something better. Think Devil Wears Prada written and narrated for a 16 year old.

No man or woman is perfect. Anastasia Steele didn't set out to fix Christian Grey. She didn't even know all of his demons when she met him. Do you know all of your demons? How long did it take you to get to know your mate? In this article, I would like to once again discuss the impractical views that are being expressed on the internet, including my own. We've discussed the extremists who want to riot and burn books, the women who just think nothing is wrong with Fifty Shades of Grey, the women who think *Shut the H%$# up it's just a book* and then there is me. I'm somewhere in between the religious types and the Shut #$^*#$^(#! up group. Why? I liked the book, it's a book and while I see how our experiences influence our thoughts and actions (which is why some women think we may all start going out and... ??) - I think that Fifty Shades, like any book or movie is a learning experience. I spend a lot of my time reading or listening to books, all kinds of books (mostly fantasy and educational books), and like to think all books have value. My primary pet peeve is in zealot acts of naive unwavering opinions. No, this is not my first time on the internet. Yes, I've heard of trolling. "Boring valley girl story - The Adult PR or Assistant Version"
I'm returning this book. It was just okay.
I tried listening a couple times and just couldn't get through. Some books capture you and some books just aren't for you. I'm sure some people love this, I however, am not into the gossipy valley girl series. Everyone Worth Knowing had some ups to it but just was too hard for me to get through.
I do not recommend this book unless you enjoy vapid tales just to pass the time, even if you do here are some better options.
