What did you love best about Fifty Shades of Grey?
The story was good. Moves very quickly. Christian starts off as a bit of an asshole, but if you hold out it gets better. Enjoyed the books. Saw the movie yesterday. It's very graphic and awkward for a first date movie. They leave nothing to the imagination. The movie does not have even a quarter of the detail the book has.

I loved the character build up, the inner dialog, how the characters traverse their inner struggles aloud and build off the emotion of the moment. The book is extremely sexual in content and not at all appropriate for children, teens, or people of sensitive sensibilities.

No man or woman is perfect. Anastasia Steele didn't set out to fix Christian Grey. She didn't even know all of his demons when she met him. Do you know all of your demons? How long did it take you to get to know your mate? In this article, I would like to once again discuss the impractical views that are being expressed on the internet, including my own. We've discussed the extremists who want to riot and burn books, the women who just think nothing is wrong with Fifty Shades of Grey, the women who think *Shut the H%$# up it's just a book* and then there is me. I'm somewhere in between the religious types and the Shut #$^*#$^(#! up group. Why? I liked the book, it's a book and while I see how our experiences influence our thoughts and actions (which is why some women think we may all start going out and... ??) - I think that Fifty Shades, like any book or movie is a learning experience. I spend a lot of my time reading or listening to books, all kinds of books (mostly fantasy and educational books), and like to think all books have value. My primary pet peeve is in zealot acts of naive unwavering opinions.  No, this is not my first time on the internet. Yes, I've heard of trolling.

BOOK REVIEW: Read the book or don't talk about it like you know the story. This goes for all books.

Someone hating the book for being abusive. The comments to follow include hundreds of women who have never read the story and are ranting on principal. They even say that he was raised poorly because, of course, they are super women who are perfect parents who would never raise a son "like that" or a daughter who would date him.

The book is about a man who was raped as a child and a teen overcoming a lot of his background. Throughout the book they, as a couple, work towards growing up and setting aside a lot of what many people openly find distasteful. Heck the protagonist and her best friend probably have a lot of the same feelings towards being tied up as you do. Yes it has a lot of sex scenes, and I didn't really know what I was getting into when I started the book, but the reason it's so popular is because it has a deeper story about hardship, overcoming obstacles, growing up, and falling in love.

BOOK REVIEW: 50 Shades of Grey or a Review of Opinionated Assholes with Fake Opinions

Book Review Fifty Shades of Grey

HATING A BOOK... YOU'VE NEVER READ

The only articles I've seen, so far, regarding 50 Shades of grey (especially the ones reposted by friends) are people hating a book on principal. People who have NEVER read a single page of the book and think it's all about Christian beating up his girlfriend/lover (it's not). It's BDSM, yes.

What's it about then? (No spoilers)

How Sexy is it... Really?

Book Review: Gay Dinosaur & Unicorn Erotic Fiction #books

This is another book series that I HAVE NOT READ. I'm not sure I ever will, but it was referred to me after my last post on the book about the demon vagina (seriously, it's weird and the description is worth reading - the book itself I can not speak for). I had a good laugh and then reread the description once or twice.

The author of the current book we are discussing is named, Chuck Tingle. Chuck is a Tae Kwon do grandmaster, with a PH.D, and an interesting twitter persona @Chuck Tingle. His books have names like Taken by the Gay Unicorn Bike and Space Raptor Butt Invasion.
