Story

Delirium is a story of the United States in a hypothetical future where scientists have cured love. In this world love is seen as a delirium, a mind-poison, and something to be feared. Men and women are segregated. The USA has borders reminiscent of the German Holocaust or the Berlin wall. Everyone is a prisoner. The procedure is required and at first the lead character is looking forward to it.

"The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't." Love, also known as Delirium.

About Book Review Rating and Awards

Best of Rating and Stars

What are the Stars?

Books may be rated 1-5 stars. 1 star being the lowest possible rating and 5 stars being the highest. Books that have not been read do not have a rating.

Every book review may have an overall rating, a performance rating, and a story rating. The overall rating takes into account both the story and performance. The Performance rates the narrator, if the book was reviewed as an audible book. The story rating is for the book overall.

Books are not graded by spelling or grammatical errors, although poor performance or books that are hard to read may factor in layout. If something stands out, this will generally be mentioned in the review.

Products only have an overall score. Additional ratings may be added later for product and business reviews.

The Starts look like this:

By S.J. West Cursed (Watchers Trilogy) epitomizes everything I love in a book or series. It offers romance, humor, and mystery. Author S.J. West doesn't spell out every detail in the series or answer all your questions up front, she lures you in with one mystery after another and leaves you yearning for answers, mystery, and a few more moments with her lovely characters.

The Watchers Chronicles is blessed, pun intended, with not just one handsome lead male character, but three. The book includes a damsel in chronic distress, and her witty southern side-kick best friend.

I originally got this book because I adore Gabra Zackman. She is an amazing narrator. In this book she gives herself an east coast accent that I was not expecting since I got the book without listening to a sample. Plus I'm not normally into murder mysteries but Gabra made this book for me.

What did you love best about Fifty Shades of Grey?
The story was good. Moves very quickly. Christian starts off as a bit of an asshole, but if you hold out it gets better. Enjoyed the books. Saw the movie yesterday. It's very graphic and awkward for a first date movie. They leave nothing to the imagination. The movie does not have even a quarter of the detail the book has.

I loved the character build up, the inner dialog, how the characters traverse their inner struggles aloud and build off the emotion of the moment. The book is extremely sexual in content and not at all appropriate for children, teens, or people of sensitive sensibilities.

BOOK REVIEW: Read the book or don't talk about it like you know the story. This goes for all books.

Someone hating the book for being abusive. The comments to follow include hundreds of women who have never read the story and are ranting on principal. They even say that he was raised poorly because, of course, they are super women who are perfect parents who would never raise a son "like that" or a daughter who would date him.

The book is about a man who was raped as a child and a teen overcoming a lot of his background. Throughout the book they, as a couple, work towards growing up and setting aside a lot of what many people openly find distasteful. Heck the protagonist and her best friend probably have a lot of the same feelings towards being tied up as you do. Yes it has a lot of sex scenes, and I didn't really know what I was getting into when I started the book, but the reason it's so popular is because it has a deeper story about hardship, overcoming obstacles, growing up, and falling in love.

BOOK REVIEW: 50 Shades of Grey or a Review of Opinionated Assholes with Fake Opinions

Book Review Fifty Shades of Grey

HATING A BOOK... YOU'VE NEVER READ

The only articles I've seen, so far, regarding 50 Shades of grey (especially the ones reposted by friends) are people hating a book on principal. People who have NEVER read a single page of the book and think it's all about Christian beating up his girlfriend/lover (it's not). It's BDSM, yes.

I LOVE this series. Sebastian York and Grace Grant are by far two of my all time favorite narrators. If you like audio books, are over 18, and like romance novels. This modern novel series of love and lust is addictive. Christina Lauren are the author duo that created this series. The authors are on Twitter and write fabulous updates.

BOOK REVIEW: A Few of My Favorite Genres, Books, Authors, and Narrators of all time (as of today)

vWhat kind of books do I normally read or listen to?

Books I read Monthly, but in Small Doses

I try to read religious and business books in paper form, mainly so I can take notes and because it's a struggle. They're not exactly addictive. I also enjoy gardening, language learning, interior design, web design, fitness, aviation, and craft type books that lean towards a how to perspective.

Favorite Genres

My favorite genres are historical fiction, fantasy and Sci fi, mystery, romance, fairy tales, mythology, occult, erotica, steam punk, any romantic British novel, and dystopian.
