New NASCIO survey numbers worth sitting with:
• 46% of states have no chief accessibility officer
• 67% have no dedicated accessibility funding
Accessibility doesn't happen by accident. Without an owner and without funding, it becomes everyone's side project — which means it becomes no one's priority, and the deadline doesn't care.
The states that treat accessibility as infrastructure are the ones that won't be scrambling.
