Sketching on paper is still the fastest accessibility review available

Sketching on paper is still the fastest accessibility review available.

Before code, before components, a rough sketch forces hard questions early: What comes first? What matters most on this screen? What happens when text gets longer, when a name is unfamiliar, when the connection is slow and attention is thin?

Painting and drawing train that same discipline. Composition is a decision about order and emphasis. Leave everything at the same weight and nothing guides the eye. Make one thing unmistakably primary and the rest finds its place.

Digital interfaces work the same way. A clear hierarchy, a predictable path, and one obvious next step are not visual preferences — they are how people with different vision, devices, and cognitive load get through a task.

Start rough. Decide the order honestly. Then build.
